
DCNA faces significant fund raising challenges.
In order to create a long term sustainable funding future for the parks of the Dutch Caribbean, DCNA is committed to raising Euro 24 million to capitalize a Trust Fund. Ultimately the revenues from the Trust Fund will pay for the day-to-day operations of one marine and one terrestrial park on each of the islands of the Dutch Caribbean
In the short term, DCNA is struggling to raise sufficient funds annually to ensure that all the protected areas can meet their basic operational costs as well as ensuring the level of services and support needed by the park management organizations allowing them to improve their management capacity.
