Curaçao Board Meeting 2015

DCNA‘s Board meeting is scheduled to take place from the 27th to 29th October 2015 on Curaçao at the Sunscape Resort.

The meeting will provide a venue for the continuation of discussions from the last Board meeting on Saba (“Beyond 2016″) and will provide Board members with an opportunity  to reaffirm a unified vision for the future.

Looking backwards, we will be commemorating DCNA’s first 10 years. Looking forwards, amongst other things, we will be celebrating the newly established Yarari Marine Mammal and Shark Sanctuary.

Additionally, there will be reports on DCNA’s Lottery funded shark conservation initiative “Save our Sharks“, along with presentations by The Pew Trust on their global shark conservation programme and Waitt Foundation on the Blue Halo intiative as well as a detailed update and discussion about the new EU BEST 2.0 initiative and funding opportunity.

The first day of the Board meeting will culminate in a feastive reception at CARMABI’s headquarters from 18.00 – 20.00.
