Dutch National Postcode Lottery extends collaboration with Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA) for further five years.
Last week, the National Postcode Lottery announced that their collaboration with the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance will be extended for a further five years. Since 2008 the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance has been receiving an annual donation of € 500,000 from the National Postcode Lottery for its work to safeguard nature and promote the sustainable management of nature in the Dutch Caribbean.
The Supervisory Board of the Lottery was so impressed with the work of DCNA, that the positive recommendation for a continued relationship was adopted. In the period of 2013-2017 DCNA will continue to receive structural support from the Lottery which will be used to build a long term sustainable future for the protected areas and conservation organizations on and around the Dutch Caribbean islands.
Judith Lingeman, Charity Manager at the National Postcode Lottery (translated):
“The Dutch Caribbean islands hold special and unique nature such as a cloud forest, mangroves, coral reefs and seagrass beds. These areas are, however, under pressure. The National Postcode Lottery, along with its 2.5 million loyal participants, are happy to support the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance and the continuation of the important conservation work.”
