WWF honors Chief Ranger: Din Domacasse

The first week of October was a pivotal day in history of STINAPA, as their Marine Park chief ranger, Din Domacasse, was being filmed by the Dutch TV program; ’Kanjers van Goud“ presented by Winston Gerschtanowitz.

This program, which will air on December 13th on the Dutch TV channel RTL 4, shows Din in his day to day work for the Marine Park. The Dutch Postcode Lottery and the Wereld Natuur Fonds (WWF) are making the necessary arrangements to broadcast the program on local TV channels in the Dutch Caribbean.

During the week of filming Din also got a surprise visit from his daughter who lives in the Netherlands, and whom he had not seen for 7 years. This heartwarming surprise was organized for him by the Dutch Postcode Lottery.

After giving snorkel lessons to local school children, Din’s daughter presented him with a check for 20.000 Euro from the Dutch Postcode Lottery. Together with STINAPA Bonaire, Din will be the one to decide on how best to use these funds.
