The twenty Dutch National Parks form a colourful mosaic of nature areas, characterised by their exceptional landscapes and rare plants and animal species. Landowners, site managers and other stakeholders ensure that the special characteristics of these areas remain intact and the most exquisite nature sites are preserved.
The original Samenwerkingsverband Nationale Parken, with whom DCNA had an Memorandum of Understanding, is in the process of transforming itself into a new foundation: “Stichting Nationale Parken“. The National Parks in the Dutch Caribbean are participating in the ‘new’ Stichting Nationale Parken in 2017 as observers with the expectation that they will be eligible to join thereafter. DCNA has a standing invitation to Board meetings.
