8:00      Meet at DCNA Office

  • Hand out binoculars and field materials
  • Planning and leading a wetland field trip
  • Board bus to visit wetlands of Lac Bay

     Activities:

  • Birding (identification of common wetland birds, bird identification techniques)
  • Nature observation techniques
  • Mangroves and other wetland plants
  • Marine debris activity
  • Wetland assessment activity
  • Plant study techniques (quadrats and line transects)
  • Ecology games

12:00    Lunch at Cai

1:00      Continue field trip activities

3:30      Return from Wetlands Field Trip to DCNA Office: final discussions, evaluation, raffle, hand-out posters, and presentation of certificates
